Here We Go Steelers

Welcome the 2008 wide right pick'em league. Once again we've got a fairly large league, which means more money for myself ....errr I mean the eventual winner. Couple things before the season starts:

#1 We'll once again be having 4 money slots, with the following percentage breakdowns; 4th place will get their $20 entry fee returned, 1st place 65% of the remaining pot, 2nd and 3rd, will receive 25% and 10% respectively. In the unlikely event we have a tie at the end of the season the following tie breakers will be used. Number of overall weeks won, number of overall games picked correctly, highest one week point total, number of times you picked the Steelers, and finally a coin toss.

#2 Now if you are new to the league or just had a long off season here is how the league works. Each week you pick who you think will win each game. (remember we are playing against the spread) In addition you will also assign a confidence point value, ranging from 1-16, to each game. If the team you selected covers the spread you earn the points you had assigned for that game. At the end of the season the person with the most points wins, it is that simple.

#3 You will notice that you are in first place, don't get use to it. It only takes a couple of weeks of picking the 49ers & Browns to end up in the cellar. See NinerFan for further details

#4 Don't forget to submit your picks. There is no faster way to fall off the leader board then by not picking games.

#5 Don't fear the message board. Feel free to talk a little trash about the 49ers, Jets, Broncos, Redskins, Raiders, Cowboys, Eagles, and of course the Chargers. However, since the league consists of a lot of friends of friends and coworkers, lets try and keep the posts just above drunken bar speak

NOTE: You might want to double check your spelling before you post "Fear the Rooster" has been know to run people through the ringer for the occasional misspelling.
